Data deletion instructions
HansaNet holds very little personal data: your account details and, if you added one, your WhatsApp phone number. We do not store the content of WhatsApp messages you send us. Here is how to have what we do hold removed.
Option 1: remove your WhatsApp number yourself
Sign in at hansanet.in/app, open Your account, clear the WhatsApp number field and save. Your number is deleted from our records immediately and we stop sending you WhatsApp messages.
Option 2: ask us to delete your account
Email haneeshbyreddy@gmail.com with the subject “Data deletion request” and include:
- your account username or email address,
- the WhatsApp number linked to it, if any,
- the organisation you work with.
You may also send the request as a WhatsApp message from the number you want deleted.
What happens next
- We confirm the request comes from the account holder.
- We delete the account and its personal details (name, email, phone number, password hash, and session records) within 30 days.
- We email you to confirm once it is done.
What is not deleted
Records describing network equipment (device names, outage history, optical and port readings) belong to the operating organisation, not to an individual, and are kept. Where an action was recorded against your account, we remove the link to you rather than erasing the operational record. We may also retain data we are legally required to keep.
Deleting a whole organisation
An organisation owner can ask us to remove their organisation entirely, which deletes its accounts, devices, outage history, and monitoring data together.
